get an airbrush, mine always come out looking like a five year old painted it with all the brushstrokes even after i thin down the paint. guess I shouldn't quit my day job.

Either airbrush or spray can for as many of the parts as possible. The hand brush should be for small details. Try and paint in the warmest conditions possible. Cold paint will creat flat spots. When gluing less is more. It's not that hard to get crazy with clue. Follow the directions for glue setup time. That always bites me in the butt. When gluing any chrome parts scrap the chrome off where you will add glue. It gives the a better bite surface so it won't fall apart later. Lastly get creative the directions are ok to use but you can do whatever you want. Take your time to get better results and have fun!

Many recommendations for airbrush. I have an air compressor in the garage, what else do I need? or should I stick to spray cans? Thanks!!

That GIF is so sad....hahaha. I will see about an airbrush. Do you use primer on all parts or just body?

If its your first model I would stick to cans to get a feel for laying paint down. You can pickup a cheap airbrush to try but it takes awhile getting used to mixing reducer into the paint. Also wash the parts in warm dish soap and then let them dry before painting it gets rid of all the grease on the plastic to give a solid base to paint. After washing try to touch the parts as little as possible so your oils from your fingers don't cause problems when you paint.

I was about to joke that he would need a microscope to assemble it...

Make yourself a painting stand by from a wire coat hanger.

Depends on how lazy I'm feeling but normally yes. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING, when the parts are injection molded, there is a mold release compound sprayed onto the inside of the mold. This substance is the devils work, and should be purged immediately by a severe drowning and swishing in hot-ish soapy water.

All the people I've talked to recommended going for spray paints or airbrushing over brush painting for cars. I can't get far enough out of the way...
